Il Faro Napul'egg

Ceramic egg, entirely handmade. The base incorporates powder of volcanic stone. Inspired by a painting by Jacob Philipp Hackert (1737 – 1807), court painter of King Ferdinand IV, who chose the 1779 eruption of the Vesuvius to capture the dismay and marvel of a group of peasants.

Uovo in ceramica, interamente realizzato a mano. La base incorpora polvere di pietra vulcanica. Ispirato ad un dipinto di Jacob Philipp Hackert (1737 – 1807), pittore di corte di Re Ferdinando IV, che sceglie l’eruzione del Vesuvio del 1779 per immortalare lo sgomento e la meraviglia di un gruppo di popolani.
